"An island of four disconnected kingdoms floats atop the surface of the sea in a sort of composition of the world. The people of these kingdoms organize themselves in colors and names, and have shaped their lives through heirlooms of craft, language and celebration. For a people so ignorant of their own discommunication, they all value the same powers, and are woefully tied to the word of their past. Kings that hold this past sleep in their holy heartwood, and smith their world to their whim; but that whim is rarely creative enough to step outside unknown, unwritten rules. Their unending bloodlines fascinate me. Though the stories these people tell of creation, art, and love have all been heard before, I would like to be here still in the end. It is a wonder to imagine the future beyond some symphony of restless change."
